Tiffany May | Bio

Tiffany has always been interested in clothing and style. Maybe it was the excitement she felt after leaving years of a uniform clad Catholic school to enter the freedom of public school dress. Or the inspiration of sketching on sister's Fashion Plate in the early eighties. Possibly it's the actress factor, and how much she's learned about costume informing the character. Okay dude; it's all of the above mixed with the art of style uniqueness: how it can make you feel, behave, and empower one to express themselves.

This is Tiffany's first foray into making clothing. Tee shirts are universal necessities to all, and dressing them up became a fun experiment. Scouring vintage stores in upstate New York (plus her own closet), she began to see how an old shirt could become an individual, resurrected work of art. Then she moved onto the "I Love New York" tees; revamping the familiar shirt in honor of her favorite city and home.

Tiff has been acting since she was a child, and has been trained at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Circle in the Square Theatre School, and the Upright Citizens Brigade. She performs in New York regularly, and can also be seen singing with the Katy Pfaffl Band (Katy being her best friend!). She also is a member of New Jersey Rep. Tiff has dabbled in Make-Up Artistry as well, taking classes and working with Make-Up Mania on the Lower East Side. Really, she's kind of a glutton for creativity of any kind, and dwells between many mediums.

Tiff originally grew up in Lockport, NY (home of the first Erie Canal Locks!) with a family of redheads (natural, mind you). She is greatly inspired by Betsey Johnson's amazing designs, Led Zeppelin's sexy tunes, and the magical ballads of the eighties.
