Tiffany May is a New York City based theatre and voice actor, storyteller, and teaching artist. She has voiced hundreds of commercials, plus instructional videos, animations, documentaries, medical narrations, and video games in her professional home studio- a turquoise StudioBricks armed with a Sennheiser 416 microphone, a Volt 176 interface, and Source Connect.
Her voice has an earthy texture accented by a ‘lovable rasp’ which warms up any script. Relatable, trustworthy and real, Tiffany’s tone reflects her unique personality and background. She loves to receive direction and collaborate to help create and fulfill each project, quickly and reliably.
Tiff has been trained in Musical Theater at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and in Drama at Circle in the Square Theatre School; improv/storytelling at the Upright Citizens Brigade and The People’s Improv Theatre. She also is a real life Miss Frizzle- a complete science dork.
She has a Masters in Earth Science Education, was a tenured New York City Public School Earth Science teacher and scientific researcher in the field of Geochemistry through a fellowship at Columbia University.She has worked in the field next to renowned scientists in Wyoming and Australia, which has greatly expanded her rock collection.
A member of Actors Equity Association, she has performed as a professional actress regionally and in New York City. Favorite roles include Ariel in ‘The Tempest,’ Hermia in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream,’ Gilmer in ‘Godspell,’ and Maggie in ‘Dancing at Lughnasa.’ She dwells in the Big Apple, is an acting student in the Juilliard Extension program, and an avid participant in the Tailshakers dance krewe.

Tiffany has over 20 years of experience teaching all ages of children and adults.
She taught very little ones at Gymboree Play and Music, worked as a theatrical teaching artist in NYC schools with kids K-12, was a tenured, certified Earth Science teacher for four years in the NYC Department of Education, and currently coaches voice acting online and in person.
She has taught at Juilliard, the Brooklyn Montessori School, the Colorado Fine Arts Center. And with Kool Kids Voice Acting. Every summer, Tiffany assists in a weekly high school theatre camp in Istanbul, Turkey, where she works on acting, song interpretation, improv, and Musical Theatre college audition preparation. Connecting with students of all ages and backgrounds is something she truly enjoys. She loves helping students discover the creative voice that exists within themselves, encouraging them to share their uniqueness with the world- as a creator, and human being.
Her unique history as an inner-city Earth Science teacher, a research fellow who traveled with a team from Columbia University to Wyoming and Australia unearthing rocks, plus creative talents as an actress and storyteller allow her to engage a wide variety of students in many ways. Tiffany is open to teaching voice acting, acting, storytelling, coaching audition preparation, and tutoring the NYS Earth Science curriculum to students of all ages.
